Good morning beauties and happy Monday! Today we’re talking about a topic that is really close to my heart: brows. They have been all the rage these past year and still going strong all over instagram and the blogosphere. From ombre brows, to sculpted brows to natural brows, there’s something for every style, and here are my top 5 brow products to achieve your perfect brow.
Everyone has their own style and personally I like to change up my brows according to the occasion. During the day I prefer more natural looking brows and will use a pencil to fill them in a bit. My favorite is the Kiko Precision Eyebrow Pencil (5.90€), it was in my 2014 beauty favorites (here) because the pencil is super fine and with the two colors I have (02 Dark Chestnut & 03 Auburn) I can get a perfect warm brown brow that fits my hair nicely. What makes it so much better than any other bro pencil I used is the very fine tip that allows you to draw on individual hairs and doesn’t look obvious.
If instead I’m going for a full face of makeup for an evening out or an event, I turn to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade (12.40€) applied with an angled brush. The pomade takes a bit of time to get used to, but with a very fine angled brush such as the Zoeva 317 Wing Liner or the new Essence Eyeliner Brush you can really draw on little brow hairs and the effect doesn’t look at all drawn on!! The best way to explain it is for you to watch the Brow Routine from Claire Marshall (here), her brows are amazing!
Independently of how I fill in my brows, I always set them to prevent the hairs from sticking in all the wrong directions. I alternate between tinted brow gel such as the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper, which I raved about here, or the new Essence Make Me Brow, a great dupe for the Benefit Gimme Brow. These products set your brows, deposit some color and have fibers in the formula which help filling them in. If instead you prefer something that will not add any color, clear brow gels are the way to go and my favorite at the moment is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear brow Gel which has completely overtook my drugstore alternatives (I talk about it here). I think the clear version of the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper might also be a good drugstore option since the tinted formula is great.
Last but not least, the brow tool that you cannot go without is a spoolie, such as the Kiko Eyes 205. This brush is perfect to brush your brows upwards before you fill them in and to blend out the pencil/pomade after application. I used to use the ones on the back of the brow pencils until I just decided to get the dedicated brush and it is one of the most used ones.
So here we go, my essential products for groomed and beautiful brows.
