Welcome back to another episode of the #FallInLoveTAG2. If you missed episode 1 you can find it here, and if you want to join us, go check out the introduction post by Caffelatte For Breakfast here. The theme this time is Umbrella, your trusted friend on rainy fall days. Since this is a beauty blog, we will talk about those makeup products that are my trusted allies and I wear on a daily basis: this is my Fall daytime makeup routine.
I always start with skincare and for Fall I have changed my routine which you can read in depth here. The main product I make sure I use is the Paula’s Choice Calm Redness SPF30 moisturizer for combination/oily skin to balance my skin and protect it from UV damage in one.
For my base I always use the same combination of L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte foundation with the Maybelline Fit Me or Catrice Liquid Camouflage concealers. This combination has served me well and I will keep repurchasing these products forever I think. Same goes for powders, I set my undereye area with the Anastasia Bevery Hills Banana powder and the rest of the face with the Neve Cosmetics Hollywood powder. I discovered this combo this summer and it works wonderfully on my combination/oily skin.
Canvas ready, I contour with Bad Habit by Makeup Geek, this lasts all day and is super pigmented. For cheeks, I change highlighter and blush daily, so go read my Fall Favorites (and episode 1) to see which ones I’ve been loving. In this look I’m wearing Colourpop Flexitarian and Bardot.
I wear makeup mainly to correct my hooded eyes (post on how I do it here), so I wear eyeshadow on a daily basis. I always start with a primer to make sure the shadows last all day, and then go with the feeling of the day. For Fall I’ve been wearing orange and red tones the most (have you seen my burgundy birthday look here?). However, on these beautiful Fall weekends of sun and exploration, I have toned the eye makeup down to a minimum. What I cannot give up are brows and lashes. For brows I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade to make sure everything is in place and mascara is the one and only Maybelline Lash Sensational.
As I mentioned in my Fall Favorites, I’m all about the terracotta liquid lipsticks like Colourpop Love Bug or Mama that I’m wearing in this look. Matte liquid lipstick will last all day and if I feel like my lips are dry, I’ll just dab some lip balm on top.
This was my fall daytime makeup, my umbrella on a rainy day for the #FallInLoveTAG2 created by the lovely Marta over at Caffelatte for Breakfast. Go say hi and check the hashtag for all the other girls doing the tag!
