We’re here for another palette review and dupes. After the ABH Subculture palette, it is time for my Jeffree Star Androgyny palette dupes and review. I tried to resist for a long time because I do not like the guy, the ridiculous amount of designer stuff he buys every day and especially his past. Nevertheless, I was won over by the perfect selection of shades in this palette. That is, until I used it.
Here are a few more photos of the palette and you can hear my full opinions and reasons for disappointment in the Youtube video review. My main issue is the lack of pigmentation and how fast the shadows fade from my eyes. I never experienced eyeshadows fading into nothingness.
Jeffree Star Androgyny palette dupes
I definitely do not recommend this palette because you can get better quality eyeshadows from Makeup Geek, Devinah Cosmetics and Colourpop for a small extra cost. That said, here are the closest dupes I could find.
As you can see some shades are perfect dupes, while some really aren’t. However, I would be as happy with the shades above as with the ones in the Jeffree Star Androgyny palette. I know the singles are not a cheaper alternative, but the quality is better and the advantage of choosing the shades you actually want is totally worth it. For example, I will never use the shade Androgyny, it’s just not a shade of purple I would wear.
However, if I did not convince you and you want to get it anyways, you can find it online only on Jeffree Star Cosmetics or Beautylish. I recommend the second option as they have free shipping and an amazing return policy.
What are your thoughts on the palette? Have you tried it or are you tempted to?
