That I’m a single eyeshadow collector doesn’t come to a surprise with all the recent posts on swatches and comparisons (here and here). So when an indie brand that sells single eyeshadow pans got onto my radar, it was just a matter of time before I placed an order. I found out about Devinah Cosmetics at the end of last year thanks to the lovely girls of Beguiles and Dolls on Instagram, and purchased my first highlighters from them during the Black Friday sale (here). I was trying to be strong and not buy any more eyeshadows, but I finally caved during a recent restock and here are some Devinah Cosmetics eyeshadow swatches.
First day of Spring and I’m ready to switch gears, welcome the sun back in my life ans start wearing corals and peaches. The weather isn’t collaborating but I have some fun new Spring makeup to play with! Let’s welcome the Colourpop Nectar collection to the family!
Single pan pressed eyeshadows are my weakness, I collect them, I love them. Now that I’ve said that, you won’t be surprised that I’m coming to you with a review and swatches of the new Colourpop pressed shadows. Colourpop launched over 30 new pressed eyeshadows in January promoting it as their biggest launch yet. I picked up quite a few in the meantime and have been using them non stop, so here I thought it was about time to talk to you about them.
Another Colourpop post? Yes please! Today is all about the Colourpop Valentine’s collection swatches, review and a quick tutorial on how to depot them.
Ah the day of love, pinkness and hearts. Valentine’s Day has never been a particularly important day for me but somehow every year the first two weeks of February are all about the pink makeup. I naturally tend towards plummy shades and this year I want to share a Kylie inspired Valentine’s Day makeup tutorial.
Welcome to a new mini series here on the blog: A Shifting Journey. This series wants to introduce the beauty and versatility of shifting micas and their applications. The first episode is dedicated to Travel to Earth.
First twelfth of the year is over and here we are again for the January beauty favorites. I must say January has been great so far from the blog side of things and I’ve been feeling very motivated to write and film and put out more content. I am still figuring out a good schedule for videos and blog posts as well as understanding how I should go about posting videos on the blog or not. But blabbing aside, let’s get into these beauty favorites!
Since you liked the Anti Hauls so far, I thought I’d do the opposite video and share with your the makeup I would buy if I had an infinite makeup budget! I called it the Fantasy haul, kind of like fantasy football, and this is a special Valentine’s Day gift guide edition.
It all started when the Kat von D Alchemist palette was released in December and the whole discussion that followed of it being small and not that different from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild palette. In makeup groups on Facebook I read how for $1.50 you can get the starting products to make the exact same highlighter shades by buying micas at TKB Trading. Obviously I made a substantial order and set myself to make my own Kat von D Alchemist dupe highlighters.
On this blog we talk about buying makeup, wanting makeup, and that’s not so good for our wallets, mine or yours. After the success of the first Anti Haul (here), here we go again with another episode. In this video and post I explain what I am NOT gonna buy among the latest lipstick releases and why. There are so many lip products out there to talk about that I thought I’d keep it strictly to those for this episode. This is an original idea by the amazing Kimberly Clark on Youtube, she is such a fun character to watch, I really recommend you to check her out!
