Skin care Monday: The Body Shop Vitamin C range for bright skin

microdermabrasion, primer, dull skin, revitalize
Good morning beauties and welcome back to skin care Monday!
Today I wanted to rave a bit about one of my most recent skin care finds. On one of my last trips to The Body Shop I picked up a sachet of the Vitamin C Microdermabrasion (19€ here), fell in love and bought the full size in a matter of 2 weeks!

This is a very fine face scrub that leaves your skin feeling as if you went over it with very fine sand paper, as smooth as it can be. Honestly, the best scrub I’ve ever tried! It is also one of the harshest though. I was skeptical at first (hence the sachet) because I have sensitive skin on my cheek that tend to rosacea. I was afraid the microdermabrasion would flare them up and give me an irritation, but it didn’t happen. I take care that I scrub very lightly on the outer part of my face and more in depth on the t-zone and chin. No adverse reaction, just baby smooth skin! The scrub contains Myrciaria Dubia (camu camu) extract, which is very high in vitamin C content and is responsible for brightening the skin and making this scrub more effective (read more about it here).

I was so happy with the microdermabrasion, when looking for a daytime serum/primer I decided to try one from the same range: the Vitamin C Skin Boost (24€ here). I find this to be more of a primer than a serum as it is applied after your moisturizer and it works by smoothing and brightening the skin. It contains silicones to do the smoothing and again camu camu extract and brazilian nut oil to help brightening and protecting the skin. I am really impressed with this! I’m not used to see such a “before and after” difference, but this booster really brightens the skin and makes you look healthier and more awake, which in the morning is very much needed!
Did you try anything from The Body Shop Vitamin C range? What do you think?
