Shop my stash: the winter nude lipstick
I am the first one to be a confessed shopaholic, but sometimes I love to go through my makeup collection and rediscover old favorites. That’s exactly what happened at the beginning of the cold season when I went through my lipsticks to put the coral and neon colors in winter storage and take out the more muted and dark shades. I came across what used to be my go to nude last winter and fell in love all over again. I am talking about the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate n. 19.
Now, I kept this space quite free from the 90s trend, but might I drop here that this is my version of the Kylie Jenner lip? If only I would dare overdrawing my lips with a nude pencil, this would work perfectly. It’s really a “your lips but better” shade, a rosy beige slightly darker than my own lip color. I take this one out in winter because it brings a bit of extra warmth to the skin and fights against the dooming paleness, whereas in summer I prefer peachy nudes that give me the hole “wannabe bronzed goddess”.
So after all a very happy re-discovery and at the most affordable price: nothing. I picked it up in my first haul here on the blog a year ago from feelunique.com
. Now it looks like they don’t have it anymore, but you should be able to find it in your local drugstore.
What do you think? Is it 90s enough?
