Welcome back for December’s appointment with the Paciugopedia 3 from Svampi of Beautybats. This is the nudest look of the whole series but it is a special one because we got to recreate this gorgeous look by the one and only Linda Hallberg (insert heat-eyes emoji here).
I loved to recreate this look, especially because it is a shape that is well suited to my hooded eyes. The look is based on all matte eyeshadows and I found the trick was blending starting with a light vanilla shade, going to slightly darker brown shades applied with smaller brushes to end up with a black shadow that needs to be placed precisely and then the edges blended with the browns again. I used a mix of my beloved Makeup Geek eyeshadows and the Lorac Pro palette, which has all gradients of browns and a very good black. To give extra brightness to the inner half of the lid and the waterline I used the KIKO Colour Definition Eyeliner in Butter, which is just amazing and is the only one that resists on my waterline. Final touch and most important to complete the look are the lashes. I have recently purchased the Essence Half Lashes and have loved them and wore them so much! Those went on the outer upper lash line to create a cat-eye effect. You can see from Linda’s original picture that she’s also wearing a few individual lashes on the lower lash line and so did I, using a few of the Essence individuals to make the lower lashes more whispy.
The rest of the face I kept quite simple, doing my everyday routine with the L’Oréal Infallible Matte foundation and Maybelline Fit Me concealer, MAC Blot Powder on top and contouring using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light. Finally on the lips a pinky nude that is a combination of Wet n Wild Just Peachy lipstick with Gerard Cosmetics Serenity Liquid Lipstick on top.
I would totally wear this look out daily, minus the individual lashes on the lower lash line and with a bold matte lip, but it was nice to try something new and discover that pinky nudes are not the evil incarnate (as I always thought).
What do you think? Do you like my recreation or would you do something different?
