Here we go with part 2 of the swatches of the Makeup Geek lip products I own. In part one (here) we looked at the Iconic lipsticks, and today I am showing you one of their two liquid lipstick formulas. So let’s take a look at the Makeup Geek Plush Creme swatches.
The Makeup Geek Plush Cremes are one of their two liquid lipstick formulations. They have a moussy and creamy texture that doesn’t dry down and provides great comfort of wear. The idea is similar to the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips, but the consistency and feeling on the lips is different, much more bouncy and indeed “plush”.
The Plush Creme liquid lipsticks come in a clear tube with a gunmetal top. I like that the tube is transparent because you can clearly see the shade right away. They come with a long wand with a flat and quite thin applicator. As you can see in the video, I struggle a bit with the applicator because of its shape: it doesn’t pick up enough product to apply the lipstick on both my lips, and it seems to have some accumulation on the tip, which I need to remember to avoid applying too much product on the lip edge.
I wish I would look good in Socialite because ti is such an “in” shade right now and the formula is so nice on the lips. Trophy Wife is definitely the only one that is wearable for my coloring of the ones I received, and it is a beautiful candy apple red.
The Makeup Geek Plush Creme liquid lipsticks retail for $14 and contain 3 mL of product, there are a total of 9 shades. You can find these on the Makeup Geek website only for now, but we can hope they will be easily available internationally through BeautyBay soon.
What do you think of these? Did you eye something you like?
Down below you can find the official swatches from the Makeup Geek presentation video of all the other shades in the line 🙂
