Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Dupes in retrospect

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill dupes in retrospect

Well by now we all know that I didn’t resist and bought the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault collection at launch. Of course I had to compare the dupes I found when trying to convince myself I didn’t need the palettes, with the actual palettes. So here are my Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault dupes in retrospect.

If you are curious about my thoughts on the palettes, you can find my full review in this video. In part 2 of my review I have also created two looks for each palette to show you how each shade works on the eyes.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Dupes in Retrospect

I came back and swatched the dupes I found in my previous post with the actual palettes and was pleasantly surprised both by how many unique shades there are in the vault, and by how many dupes I managed to find by just swatches online. Let’s take a look and I will also suggest some dupes to the shades in the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault that I had failed before.

Ring The Alarm palette dupes

The biggest surprise was that the 6th shade … is shimmery instead of matte! However, you can see that the Ring The Alarm palette dupes weren’t that off after all.

Armed and Gorgeous palette dupes

The Armed and Gorgeous palette has quite an innovative color scheme when it comes to pre-made palettes, but I have so many shades of yellow and orange in my collection because I really love the color.

The shades I couldn’t dupe in the Armed and Gorgeous palette are the army green and shimmery white. Somehow Makeup Geek and Colourpop don’t have yellow-based army greens in their single pan collections. Why is that? The two brown dupes are not spot on but that is due to having to dupe the palette from swatch photos online. They are not very unique shades so you shouldn’t have any problem picking two medium browns.

Bling Boss palette dupes

As I mentioned in my Morphe x Jaclyn Hill vault dupes video I do not have many cool toned purples so I am super happy to have this palette, just for that metallic purple. As you can see from the swatches above it is completely different from Makeup Geek Masquerade

Two shades I couldn’t dupe well are the last two, but the rest of the shades are quite close. I do not have new alternatives for these shades either unfortunately.

Dark Magic palette dupes

Ah doesn’t the Dark Magic palette look so smokey?! This color story speaks to me, so I was also not surprised to see I have a lot of good dupes for it. I missed the mark on the second shade which is a warmer shade of silver, and the third one which is much cooler than the shade I picked.
