nabla matte collection review swatches

Are you surprised that I couldn’t resist an all-matte single shadow collection? Somehow I’m not ghghg. When Nabla announced that they were coming out with a new collection of eyeshadow refills and they were all matte, I got butterflies in my stomach and giggled in a silly way. I am an eyeshadow refill collector and matte eyeshadows are my passion since I have hooded eyes. So of course I snagged up the full Nabla Matte Collection off of nablacosmetics.com and here are my review and swatches.

Nabla Matte Collection Review

For the sake of not repeating myself, you can find my fill review on the Youtube video above, as well as a blending demonstration and a swatch by swatch description of the Nabla Matte Collection swatch comparisons with some Nabla, Makeup Geek, and Colourpop single shadows.

These Nabla Matte Collection swatches were done on clean dry skin, with my finger. The color payoff is really intense thanks to the new Matte and Super Matte formulas.

My first reaction when I saw the shades revealed was that they were re-formulations of their old Soft Matte eyeshadows. So I decided to compare the new and old Nabla matte eyeshadows to help you guys in case you already own some. And of course I had to add some Makeup Geek and one Colourpop comparisons where I didn’t have anything similar from Nabla.

So here you have all the swatches of the new Nabla Matte Collection. I have been reaching for these eyeshadows on a daily basis, and have taken the place of my regular Makeup Geek shadows.

I wish Nabla will expand the collection in the future with a deep chocolate brown, a mustard yellow, a deep burgundy, teals, the usual Alice shades 😉

Did you or will you pick up any of these?
