I just turned one year younger! ahahah, I wished. Friday was my birthday and I recorded myself getting ready for a few beers and dinner out. As I am usual to do, for special occasions I stay on the safe side and wear “my” colors, so this makeup tutorial is for a burgundy smokey eye and a deep red lips. I hope you enjoy the tutorial and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel so that you don’t miss any future videos.
The leaves are slowly changing colors and it is all an excuse to wear more orangey-red eye makeup looks. This time I decided to put together the Makeup Geek Autumn Glow palette with the eyeshadows I own and do a fall makeup tutorial for you guys on my YouTube channel. Here one the blog you can find more information.
Last week I presented the new Makeup Geek eyeshadow releases in this overview post here, and showing you all the foiled shadows swatches and comparisons here. Now it’s time to look at the new Makeup Geek Signature eyeshadows for Fall 2016. There are a total of 9 new eyeshadows of which 7 are matte and 2 are shimmery. All nine new eyeshadows are neutral colors ranging from cool, to warm tones, to orange. I swatched the new shades next to other similar shadows in my collection both from Makeup Geek and other brands. I apologize for the goosebumps in the photos, Fall is here, and I hadn’t turned on the heating yet, brr.
I recently gave you a first look into the new Makeup Geek eyeshadows that launched for Fall 2016 in this post here. Since there are a total of 18 new shades, I decided to show you the comparisons in two separate posts. Let’s start with the new Makeup Geek foiled eyeshadows.
Rather than a specific Fall-themed collection, this is an expansion of the current foiled eyeshadow line. All the new Makeup Geek foiled eyeshadow shades are unique and different from anything existent from the brand. Nevertheless, I think a comparison of each shade with similar ones in my collection could help you get an idea whether you need them or not. A small sad note is that my collection is quite a bit smaller after moving overseas, but I hope you get a good idea of the shades.
After a few hiccups in course of production, the new Makeup Geek eyeshadows for Fall 2016 are here! If you’ve been following me for a while, you must know I’m a Makeup Geek addict, so I was absolutely over the moon when they contacted me to try out their new signature and foiled eyeshadows releasing for Fall 2016. With 9 banging foiled shadows and 9 smooth neutral shades, this collection has something for everyone.
It is no secret that Makeup Geek is my favorite eyeshadow brand, si it will come as now shock that there is another update post. Beauty Bay had a big sale some time ago and I picked up some more shadows on the way. I was initially quite weary of the foiled eyeshadows because of the rumors that they creased, but I finally was won over by the incredible pigmentation and color payoff so I have quite a few of them here. As usual I will give the official description and a mini review for every shade. If you want to see all my other Makeup geek eyeshadows, check out the previous posts here and here.
It is no secret that Makeup Geek eyeshadows are my favorite to use and since they have been available on BeautyBay with free shipping and no risk of customs to pay, my collection keeps growing. I thought it would be a good idea to show you the 10 new eyeshadows that have joined the family and how they compare to those I own already. You can find the swatches and review of the shadows I owned up to December 2015 in this post here.
The latest Makeup Geek release of the collaboration palette with MannyMUA broke the internet at the end of February and pre-orders for the restock are expected to take 4 to 6 weeks to ship (link here). Crazy stuff. I am a huge fan of the brand and have a big collection of their single eyeshadows (here) so I was immediately ready to jump at the first pre-order newsletter. Then I looked at what it would cost me in terms of value (45$) and custom costs (??€), as well as the price to pay if I got it from BeautyBay (63€) made me take a second look at my stash. The palette also contains 3 shades from the permanent line that I already own. So after longing for the palette I put together my own version of it with the shadows I already own which are the exact ones from Makeup Geek’s permanent line or what I believe are close enough dupes for the exclusive shades. Let’s take a look at what I came up with.
Welcome back for the sixth installment of the Paciugopedia! If you are new to this series, each month we get to recreate a makeup look by another makeup artist / blogger that the boss Svampi from Beautybats picked for us. You can find the looks from the previous four episodes here. I inadvertedly skipped episode 5 in February due to the super exciting things that happened (read more here), but now I’m back super excited for this look.
