Black Friday is the day after the American holiday Thanksgiving and the kickstart of Christmas shopping. Therefore most American shops offer on Black Friday (23/11, day after Thanksgiving) and Cyber Monday (26/11, Monday after Thanksgiving) great deals and discounts. In this globalized world, these days have been adopted by European brands as well to push consumers to start holiday shopping.
This year’s Black Friday 2018 sales already started with a bang, with BeautyBay having 30% off most of their stock. I personally already spent all my money on that sale but nevertheless, let’s see what the new Black Friday sales are. I would recommend you take this week to make a plan, a wishlist, a budget and stick to it. I am horrible at it but I can always recommend this strategy right?
In this post I will try to bring you discounts and codes valid for this occasion in the most used beauty-related webshops. For my European readers, I will signal the American website for which you might be charged customs costs. I would personally not suggest you make big purchases (above ~27$) unless you’re prepared to pay around 40% of your purchase extra. In most European countries custom charges are due for orders outside the EU for a value higher than 22€. This excludes shipping costs, but be careful that some brands will put the price without discount as value (Colourpop, Makeup Geek have done this to me), so you might be charged custom fees regardless. These are around 13€ of administrative costs + 21% VAT. You can check for and indication at invoercalculator.nl.
I will keep updating this list as much as I can leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday so keep an eye out for new brands and websites!
Even if nobody sees you, does’t mean you can’t treat yourself to feel beautiful. With this in mind, in this post we are going over a beauty routine for the women who stay at home.
Welcome back to another beauty empties post! I was cleaning up my beauty room and suddenly found a whole bag of empties I had totally forgotten about (bad blogger!) and since I have a few things to say about these products, here we are. As usual there’s more skincare than makeup. Do any of you finish more makeup than skincare? I’m curious.
Oily skin and impurities have always been my main concern when I though of skincare, but being on the verge of turning 30 made me realize I needed to start thinking about ageing as well. Coming Fall, I decided to start a renewing and anti-ageing skincare regimen (read more here) focused on the long term benefits of ingredients like Retinol. One of the key products of my new skincare routine is the Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum*, which I was kindly sent to try. I have been using this serum religiously for a month now and I think I have a few things to say about it.
The seasons they are a’changing and it is time to switch up my skincare. So here comes this Fall Skincare Edit with the products that are going to be my routine in the next colder months. Out goes the extra SPF, in come the chemical exfoliators.
May is over and I’m writing this post while the weather outside is the worst I’ve seen in a while with pouring rain and black skies. Sigh. Luckily most of May has been great and I have a lot of products to talk about!
As usual, this is a #teammostplayed post in which I show you the products I have been using all month, whether they’re favorites of not. To know more about this hashtag, go over to Goldenvi0let’s blog (here
