May May May!!! Finally some sun, lots of holidays (thank you catholic-dutch system!), a new job and a new beginning! I am so happy April is over, with its crazy cold November weather, lots of boring days and stress. Nevertheless, makeup made me very happy in April, since I got some really good new bits.
As you can read from the title, in this post I’ll show you the Most Played makeup items of this month (to know more about #teammostplayed, check out Goldenvi0let
‘s introduction post here
), my favorites and a few fails. Lets get into it!
Second installment of the most played products of 2016. I started this new format last month (here
) to change things up and be part of the #teammostplayed started by Goldenvi0let
. This means you will see products I used constantly during the month, but they may not be strictly my favorites.
February was a crazy hectic month since I defended my PhD on the 25th and spent lots of time organizing, freaking out and hugging my family who drove all over here from Italy for the occasion. Looking back I realized there are a few products I used consistently and colors I leaned towards so let’s take a look.
Springtime is exciting for many reasons and one of them is new launches from cosmetic brands. Being a drugstore girl at heart, that’s where I went as soon as the new additions to the permanent collection from Catrice and Essence came out. I am a big fan of both these affordable brands and always on the hunt for great products. What really hit me was that most of the new bits were centering on a nude effect.
Catrice has to be one of my favorite drugstore makeup brands, their permanent line is filled with staples, but the best are the Limited Editions that are released every couple of months. Moving into fall the latest of these limited editions is Check & Tweed. Inspired by the British classics, the style is “Brit Chic, a perfect blend of understatement, girlish charm and a hint of rebellion”.
