Holiday season is upon us, and it’s the perfect excuse to go all out on glam makeup. Today’s video is a makeup tutorial on this purple and gold look for a holiday or New Year’s Eve party in collaboration with a fellow youtuber Rotem Beauty.
Pantone Fall Trends 2016 makeup look – #FallInLoveTAG2 Ep.5
After last episode’s look into some cozy Fall routines and recipes (here), Marta from Caffelatte for Breakfast has thrown a new challenge at us for the fifth episode of the #FallInLoveTAG2. This time we are exploring Fall Trends by taking inspiration from Pantone’s Fashion Color Report for Fall 2016 (here). When Marta told us to do a Pantone Fall Trends 2016 makeup look, I was of course attracted by the yellow, orange, red and green shades, that are my daily comfort zone. In fact, I just recently published a tutorial on a Thanksgiving makeup look using such colors (here). However, the prompt also said to challenge ourselves, so indecisive and challenged I was while creating this double faced makeup inspired by fall colors.
Juvia’s Place Masquerade Mini palette – One palette one week #2
Welcome to the second week of my #OnePaletteOneWeek challenge. If you missed the first one, check it out here. This week I used exclusively the Juvia’s Place Masquerade Mini palette to create six makeup looks. I was super excited for this palette, pre-ordered it immediately and have not been disappointed! I’ll leave you with a mini-review at the end of this post.
Makeup Stash: Colourpop eyeshadows review and swatches
Since I have accumulated a few Colourpop products in the past few months I thought it might be useful to share some swatches and my opinions so far. If you missed it, watch my collection video for an overview of all the products that will be coming in the following weeks. In the meantime, we will start this week with eye products and in particular the Colourpop eyeshadows.
On October 21st Colourpop decided that all the makeup addicts outside the US had the right to purchase their products without having to pay ridiculous shipping fees. So until the end of 2016, shipping outside the US costs $9.99 for orders up to $49.99 and is free for orders above $50.
Mermaid Makeup for Halloween: caught in a net – #FallInLoveTAG2 Ep.3 – Pumpkin
Halloween is a time of slutty costumes and makeup prowess. I don’t really do either (anymore, ehm), but I like that it gives me a kick in the butt to be more adventurous and creative with makeup. There are a lot of great Halloween makeup tutorials on Youtube, so this is not meant to be that. This post is just me sharing my interpretation of a mermaid makeup look and of course she’s caught in a fisherman’s net. The inspiration came from the new ColourPop Opalescent Highlighters (see them here) and the sea of glitter I got recently (here).
This makeup is also my participation to the third episode of the #FallInLoveTAG2 by Caffelatte for Breakfast. Check out the other parts of this tag here and the introduction post with all the prompts here.
Makeup Geek Autumn Glow palette – fall makeup tutorial
The leaves are slowly changing colors and it is all an excuse to wear more orangey-red eye makeup looks. This time I decided to put together the Makeup Geek Autumn Glow palette with the eyeshadows I own and do a fall makeup tutorial for you guys on my YouTube channel. Here one the blog you can find more information.
Paciugopedia 3 #9: minty summer look
Linda Hallberg inspired makeup: Story of a failed Paciugopedia
On a quiet Saturday afternoon I set up to do my Paciugopedia3 look for May, a beautiful turquoise inverted liner by the amazing Linda Hallberg (here). My oh my it was a disaster. It turned up really unflattering on my down-turned hooded eyes because it really emphasized the hood. I took it all off and decided to attempt another look from Linda, one that would still challenge my skills but would still be flattering on me. I picked this colourful look inspired by the Chanel SS15 runway. Although I do not shy away from colored eye looks, this features shades that are definitely outside my comfort zone. I hope Svampi from BeautyBats, the creator of this series still passes this as a Paciugo.
Paciugopedia3 #7: burgundy, caramel and green makeup look
Paciugopedia 3 #6: pink and blue eye look
Welcome back for the sixth installment of the Paciugopedia! If you are new to this series, each month we get to recreate a makeup look by another makeup artist / blogger that the boss Svampi from Beautybats picked for us. You can find the looks from the previous four episodes here. I inadvertedly skipped episode 5 in February due to the super exciting things that happened (read more here), but now I’m back super excited for this look.
